bidath 

The word 'bidath' has been used 122 times in the Rikveda. It was a religiously neutral and military meeting.


sabha

The word 'Sabha' has been used 6 times in the Rikveda. The "sabha" was probably dominated by elites. It was a political, administrative and judicial meeting.

Samiti

The word 'Samiti' has been used 6 times in the Rikveda. According to the Atharva Veda, it was a political, administrative and non-military meeting. Relatively young people used to take part here. At first the power of the association was greater than the meeting. As the power of the king increased, the power of the association decreased.
